Chloe is growing up just as fast. My baby girl doesn't seem much like a baby anymore. She tries really hard to talk, saying things such as all done, thank you (some sort of a 2 syllable phrase starting with t), ni night and I'm sure more but it is too late to think! She is pushing herself down to 1 nap a day finally too! I think she wears herself out enough to still take a morning nap, but she now fights it. When she wants to sleep she will just lay down in bed and suck her thumb until she falls asleep but if she isn't ready she lets you know by screaming if you try to put her in bed!
This weekend we went down to The Falls Village, a resort down in Branson. Friday night we took the kids with us and we had a great time swimming and playing mini golf! Saturday we met the Gegg's for lunch and they brought the kids back to our house and spent the night. AJ and I got to go out to dinner, hang out in the pool/hot tub, play some more mini golf, and just have an evening to ourselves before coming home on Sunday afternoon. It was a great time but I'm not sure I'm ready for more than a night or two without the kids yet!
AJ has 3 more weeks of summer and I think he is ready to go back. It seems he is getting a little bored/antsy sitting around the house. Preston has one more week of summer preschool and then he will be home all day with AJ and Chloe. Maybe they'll venture out and find something to do so they aren't couped up inside all day. It has been very hot still and I don't think they are expecting it to cool down anytime soon.
I am of course working 4 days a week. I definitely love my job but wish I had just one more day off/week! We are swamped at work and I feel very behind all the time, some paperwork(really stuff on the computer) gets left longer than I would like it to, but I just can't make myself stay late very often.
Chloe's new "cheese" pose (we found some Halloween ears that they have been playing with!)
Playing in the resort room
Before our dinner out!
Chloe has figured out how to put the blocks down into the train!
Go Cardinals!
