Grandparents in town

My grandparents came in town the weekend after Preston's birthday on their way back home from Warrensberg.  My grandma called the Saturday prior to tell me that both of my great grandmothers had passed away that week.  So they had taken my Granny up to where Gramps was so they could be together and decided to stop to see us on their way home.  It also happened to be Grandma's birthday, so we had a small celebration here.  The kids loved having them here and playing, and we enjoyed playing cards for the small amount of time Grandpa would allow us!

Preston's bowling party!

Preston decided he wanted to go bowling for his 4th birthday party - surprise to me b/c I had never seen him bowl before except in pictures from a friend's party last year.  It was a great time!  The theme was Spiderman and all the kids had a wonderful time.
Before the party, Preston woke up to a new bicycle from Grandma Joyce and Papa Butch!  He was ecstatic!  And he got his hat from vacation fixed!!

Playing in the rain

Chloe got some new rain boots this summer and she discovered Preston's Thomas umbrella, so anytime she sees them or it is raining she thinks she needs to wear them!  A couple of weeks ago, it was actually raining so it was prime time to bust them out!  She had a blast and then Preston joined in as well!!

Preston turned 4!!

On Preston's birthday, we had a Mommy and Preston day!  I took the day off from work and we got to do all kinds of fun stuff together just the 2 of us since Chloe was at daycare and Daddy was at work (except at lunch).  We got to sleep in, then dropped Chloe off at Tricia's, and went to get Preston's haircut (which he wanted to do).  We then headed to the toy store!  Preston had some money and a gift to exchange already!  He had a fabulous time picking out what he wanted and all the things he said he wanted to get for Christmas!  We then met Daddy for lunch where Preston got a crown which he wore the rest of the day.  After lunch, we head to Rutlege-Wilson farm.  They have an awesome playground, animals and tractors to see and a small pond to fish in (which I didn't know!).  We then headed to the movies to see Madagascar 3!  I think he had a great day ended with having dinner and cake and ice cream at home with everyone else!
