Independence Day

This year 4th of July was quite different for us. We didn't do a darn thing - it was very strange. We stayed home all day and the kids got to play outside and swim all day. We did go down to Branson landing on July 3rd for their fireworks, they didn't start until 10:10 and Chloe hated them, even though we were really far away from them, so we saw about 3-5 minutes total while walking to the car basically. Preston on the other hand loves fireworks and wanted to watch them every time he heard them.
Thank you to all the brave men and women who have put their lives in danger and to the families who have lost a family member fighting to keep our freedom, so that we can have this day to celebrate our freedom.

Our kids love the garden fresh tomatoes

We have tomatoes (and squash) galore growing in our (AJ's) garden this year! Which is a little surprising since it has been so hot and dry here. Chloe really likes to pick the tomatoes and eat them straight out of the garden - we try not to let her do that b/c usually she picks the green ones! They both really like to eat them just like an apple and this makes for some cute pictures usually.

Father's Day

We got to celebrate our wonderful, loving Daddy and husband the day after Chloe's party again this year! We had a pretty quiet day at home and just let AJ do whatever he wanted. We are very blessed to have AJ in our lives to love and to love us. We wouldn't have it any other way :)

Chloe's birthday party!

We had a great day for Chloe's water party - the kids seemed to have a lot of fun with the 2 pools, sprinkler and water table! Chloe had a fun time with all of her friends and made out with a lot of her presents! One of her favorites is a bee pillow pet! She has to have it every time she sleeps - nice job Greta!

June 14, 2012

Chloe turned 2!! I can't believe this is even possible - time has flown by way too quickly. My baby is not much of a baby anymore. She talks like crazy and I can understand her most of the time! She definitely talks, or at least tries to talk, in complete sentences. She loves playing with Preston and has such a good demeanor and just loves life so much. It is awesome to hear her laugh and talk and play all the time! She and Preston have definitely made our life complete!

Celebrating Chloe's birthday

The Gegg side of the family came down the weekend before Chloe's birthday to help her celebrate turning 2! We had a great time and AJ even got some help putting walls up on the shed. Chloe clung to Uncle DJ, she called him "AJ" all weekend, and hated when they all left. Grandma and Papa Gegg got Chloe a kitchen for her birthday and she has played with it everyday I think!
