True update

Ok, so here is an update on how the kids are actually doing -
Preston is well, he's Preston.  He continues to have his amazing vocabulary and is trying really hard to get all the numbers when counting to 20 - he misses 16 and 19 - he's close!  He loves preschool and wants to go there most days; however, when I drop him off he acts like he doesn't want me to leave.  I do believe that if we put effort into it, he could be reading very soon.
Chloe is talking in practically comprehensible sentences, not always but definitely puts several words together a lot of the time.  She is singing "songs" and dancing and running and trying to jump and count to four (1,2,3,9) and just being silly all the time!  She is a blast to watch right now.  Every time I try to record something though, she of course stops doing what she is doing.  I'll catch it at some point!  One of my favorite things she says is "Thank you Mommy (Daddy)"  She is also very interested in the potty and tells me almost every time she goes - we might try potty training this weekend!  yikes!!
I turned 30, yes 30 on Monday!  I enjoyed a day off work to celebrate.  It was quite a day - took the kids to their respective places, daycare and preschool, came home to do a quick workout before our cleaning lady came, went to help with lunch at Preston's school, went to Panera to have lunch by myself (first time), went to the mall, checked out a fitness center, then picked the kids up to come home to a clean house!!  AJ made dinner and then we went to get ice cream.  It was an awesome day!  I get to cash in one of my gifts on Saturday when I take my car to get detailed, woohoo!!
My mom comes in this weekend and AJ's parents are coming down as well so we can all celebrate some more!  I am excited to see everyone.

Folks, we now have 2 toddlers in the house -

Well, Chloe is 20 months old and she is definitely a toddler.  She talks like crazy and is developing a little attitude :)  I guess that is appropriate for a little girl!  She is also very sweet though - she comes up and says "hug" and wants to give kisses.  She is lovey most of the time, but when she doesn't get her way tears ARE coming!  I tried to get a picture of her yesterday but she just wasn't having it...my best attempts are below (I'm in some of them).

Cupcakes!!

For the Superbowl party, we had to just stop at Sam's and buy cupcakes b/c we weren't going to be able to go home for me to make the pie I had planned.  Of course Sam's doesn't have a small thing of cupcakes, so needless to say we have lots left over.  Chloe and Preston have enjoyed a cupcake almost every night since then.  Chloe has loved them and she is speaking so much now she said practically a full sentence "Daddy I made mess."  So awesome!!  I love that she is talking so much now, it makes things so much easier!

Sleep walking??

The other night I thought I heard Preston's door open but he never came in our room and I never heard him shut his door, so I just thought it must have been the dog or cat going out our door.  While I was finishing getting ready, AJ came back into the bathroom and asked me if I had put Preston on the couch....

This is how we found him!  When I asked him why he was sleeping on the couch, he said someone put him there!  I sure hope this isn't going to happen anymore!

Growing up so fast!

My kids are getting too big!  I can't believe how much they are little kids now.  They really enjoy playing with each other (most of the time) and tonight at dinner, Chloe was not having a very good time (she was crabby) and Preston was trying really hard to help her and encourage her to eat.  "Oh Chloe the carrots are so yummy, the broccoli smells good and it tastes good too."  He is so funny!  He also translated what she was saying for AJ! 
Chloe talks a lot and does pretty well with most words and saying them quite understandably(not the word I was looking for here!), except for "blankie" - I can't even begin to spell how she says it, but I know what it is and I guess so does Preston b/c that is what he translated for her.
Preston is loving preschool and all of his friends there.  He would really enjoy going there everyday, but we just can't do that partly b/c they close when the college is closed and then we wouldn't have anyone to watch them and partly b/c we like Charity and don't want them to not go there.  Chloe loves Charities and even recognizes when we are pulling into her neighborhood.  I need to freeze time about now and keep them both where they are in development for just a little longer.
