My baby boy is 3!

I cannot believe Preston turned 3 today!  He got a little confused as to how old he actually is, b/c we had so many different "birthdays" for him - he kept saying he was 4 today b/c he was 3 yesterday! :)  I guess we won't have 3 or 4 different parties for him anymore!  Price Cutter sent us our coupons for a free little cake and ice cream for his birthday so we did that cake on Tuesday last week, then we had his birthday party on Saturday, a "cow" birthday on Sunday before Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Butch left and then told him that today was his actual birthday - I guess that is a little confusing!  He loved every second of it though.
He had a fantastic time at Jumpin Joey's, a bounce house, with about 9 friends.  They jumped in about 5 or 6 different inflatables for a little over an hour, then had pizza, cake and punch and then Preston opened his presents (which he loved everyone of course!) and then Joey came out for a visit and Preston could not get enough of him!
Sunday, I made him a cow cake - which I got a lot of flack for while I was making - but I think it turned out pretty good.  Preston loved it!  Today he ate one of his ears!  Chloe and Preston both ,of course, loved licking the icing off the spatulas after I was done decorating, as well as the actual cake.
Today, they got to stay home with Grandma Jackie while she was in town for a long weekend.  It is so nice to not have to wake them up in the mornings to go to daycare/preschool.
Chloe is not much of a baby anymore :(  She has been trying really hard to sing the ABC's.  She gets "A, B, C," then lots of E's; when we sing it to her she yells out "K" when you get there.  I just want to bottle her up right now and keep her like she is for just a little bit longer than how long she'll stay this way.
I condensed the pictures below with little collages of different events - I hope you can see all of them!  Click on each one and it will make it bigger if necessary.

1st birthday celebration!

 Caught in the act...
She's learned to text already :)
She is crazy about shoes - she has on a boot, sandal and holding a different shoe!
 Jumpin' Joey's!

 Chloe is a big ham!
 The cow cake!

Preston's first movie theatre experience!  Winne the Pooh - he loved it!
He sat through the whole movie without a peep
I think we will for sure get Chloe a couch for Christmas this year
 The birthday boy!
 Wild woman!
He was a little tired today after a long weekend and no nap
Good night and have a fantastic week!

Chloe is getting too big! (a short video)

As I told you in a previous blog, Chloe has decided she is big enough to climb up the ladder and go down the big slide all by herself now.  She messes around for a bit here and then takes a little dive at the end, but she was alright -

StL trip

This past weekend we went up to St. Louis to go out with our Maryville friends before some of the guys went on a little excursion down to GA.  We had a great dinner at Mango on Washington Ave and then walked to the bowling alley owned by Nelly (this is what I was told anyway) and hung out for 2 hours.  We had a fantastic time while Aunt Ginne, Rachel and Madison watched the kiddos!  Saturday we went down to Ste. Genevieve to spend some time with the family since Aunt Ali can't come down this coming weekend for Preston's birthday.
AJ started back to school this week!  The kids don't start back until tomorrow so he's had several days of meetings to enjoy! ;)  I think he is ready to get this year started and back into a normal routine.  This also means that our kids started back to daycare and Preston back to preschool.  They are both enjoying their new environments.
Tonight we discovered that Preston left his blankie at school today...not a good thing!  We had a little bit of a melt down before bed and it took a long time for him to go to sleep without it.  I actually had to lay down with him, which I never have to do.  I sure hope we find it at school tomorrow!

I was told that I will have people mad at me for some of these pictures, but I wanted to put some pics up of our night out and these are what I have....Sorry if you don't like them!

Such a cute boy we have!

Papa Butch gave Chloe a whole tomato out of the garden...She ate it ALL

Have a great week!  We'll have some pictures from Preston's birthday next!!  He'll be THREE....

14 months already?

I cannot believe Chloe is already 14 months old and at the end of the month Preston will be 3 years old!  They are growing up way too quickly.  Preston has hit a time where he is very resistant to taking naps and is not very nice to Chloe in the afternoons when he refuses to take a nap.  The only positive of him not taking a nap is that he goes to bed rather easily and early.
Chloe is beginning to say words that are understandable and is becoming very independent.  She says "outside" a lot!  And tonight it sure sounded like she was saying fruit snacks "fru fru" while pointing up at the cabinet where we keep them!  A little too smart already :)  Yesterday she decided she could climb the ladder on the swing set and go down the slide all by herself.  She somehow knew how to get up the ladder without any prompting from us.  Then she decided to climb up on the first beam across our deck and hold onto the second one!  She has become a monkey!
The weather this past weekend was beautiful and we decided to go to the park and have a barbeque with some friends.  It was fantastic!
Watching tv together!

 Crazy girl!
I could not get Preston and Josh to take a picture together

 Chloe's first Imo's pizza
We had a family game night and played Go Fish and Old Maid.  We had a good time until Preston ended up with the old maid.  He did not want to lose!

Chloe likes her little school bus and slide!

Have a great end of the week and fantastic weekend!  Love to all and God Bless!
