25 months old - I cannot believe it!

My little boy is getting to be not so little!  It blows my mind that he is 25 months old.  He is such a great big brother too.  He always wants to help out with Chloe and be right by her!

25 months - what a cheesy smile!

I wanna sit by Chloe - she looks thrilled doesn't she!

Hold on tight to the little ones, they grow up without you knowing it!
Goodnight all!

Growing girl

Sorry for the delay in an update - even though it hasn't been that long, Papa Butch has been complaining!!  Not too much has been happening here in Springfield.  This past weekend we went to Ste. Gen for AJ's 10 year highschool reunion.  We went to a winery first and then to a bar and saloon after.  I think AJ had a good time.  I forgot my camera so we have no pics of this event..  Preston and Chloe stayed with Grandma and Papa while we were gone and I think they had a good time.  Preston always seems to have fun outside there.
Chloe has become quite the little talker!  Any time you come up to her, when she is awake and playful, she gets all excited and starts jabbering.  This afternoon Chloe was laying on our bed and Preston was sitting up there with her talking and kissing her.  Eventually he went away and I went over to pick her up and she got the biggest smile on her face.  It is fun knowing that she recognizes us now and wants to talk and play.
She is getting really close, it seems, to rolling over from her back to her stomach even though she hasn't gone from her tummy to her back.  I think that is b/c she continues to hate being on her tummy for very long.
Preston definitely loves being a big brother.  He always asks where Chloe is if he can't see her, gives her kisses, tries to calm her down when she starts to cry and sings to her!  Preston has been quite accident prone lately.  He has bumps and bruises everywhere.  It also seems that he is allergic to mosquito bites.  They are swelling up like crazy.  Tomorrow Preston turns 25 months!  I can't believe he is getting so big - he looks like a little guy now compared to pictures taken in May.
Not too much else is going on.  Work is going good for both AJ and me.  I definitely like Tuesday the best of all of my work days - I wish I could get off at 2:30 every day!  Unfortunately I don't think part time is in the near future for me.
We hope everyone has a great week.  God Bless!

Trip to the hospital....

We had a very interesting "short" week.  Tuesday was a normal short day of work for me.  Wednesday morning I told AJ he should probably bring Preston's nebulizer to Jennie's b/c he was breathing a little heavy (he didn't by the way).  Wednesday at noon I got a call at work saying I needed to come get the kids b/c Preston had a slight temp, was coughing and said his tummy hurt.  AJ and I decided that I would take off Wednesday afternoon and he would take off Thursday to stay home with the kids.  When I got to Jennie's Preston was crying and wouldn't stop and didn't stop until about 15 minutes after we got home and I turned on Go Diego Go!  I ended up giving Preston 3 breathing treatments in 5 hours and he continued to breath hard.  AJ took him to urgent care and they said there were going to send him to the hospital to admit him b/c his oxygen levels were low.  AJ stayed over night with Preston and Chloe and I returned home to sleep.  Preston was in the hospital until about 6:30pm on
Thursday.  He did really well at the hospital under the circumstances; everyone loved him!  Preston is doing much better now and is tolerating having breathing treatments about every 4 hours.  Hopefully when we take him to the doc on Thursday we can convince them to give him singulair instead of continually having breathing treatments all winter.
That was the most exciting part of the week.  Friday night AJ and I went out for our 4th anniversary!  We had a really nice dinner while the kids were at Parents Night Out at church.  I can't remember the last time we actually went out just the two of us, it was very nice.
Sunday we dedicated both of our babies at church.  We missed the time before when Preston could have done it so we did both of them together!  Preston looked so handsome in his little suit and Chloe was very pretty in her little dress which we had originally bought for her to come home from the hospital wearing.
Chloe is 13 weeks old today - gosh how time is flying!  She is becoming so interactive and has a great personality.  Her new thing is sucking her thumb!  She puts herself to sleep all the time now just by sucking her thumb.  I don't think we are going to have much trouble with her sleeping anymore.
Have a fantastic week!

Getting so big!

A lot has happened in the past couple of weeks.  We went to my work's picnic and actually had a pretty good time.  Preston loved jumping in the jump house - the guy running it had to get him out when his time was up!  He got to play on the little playground and enjoyed all the popcorn, hotdogs, lemonade and I brought some suckers for him to eat.  We stuck it out until the intermission of the movie to see if we could win any door prizes (no such luck).  Chloe did great just hanging out with us there.  The weather was great, not too hot.
Sunday, August 22, our friends Mark and Kailey welcomed baby Connor into their lives!  He was exactly the same weight as Chloe and just a 1/4 inch shorter.  He is very cute and we are excited for Chloe to have a playmate only 2 months younger!
Chloe turned 10, 11 and 12 weeks old since my last post!  She is growing up so quickly.  She laughs and smiles all the time.  I have been trying to increase the amount of tummy time she has at home, but she really doesn't like it.  I looked back at some pictures of Preston and at a little over 12 weeks he was holding his head up really well.  I am sure he had a little more tummy time than Chloe gets now.  She holds her head up great when she is in a supported sitting position or when you are holding her, but put her on her tummy and she doesn't want to do it!
The other big thing that happened since last time - PRESTON TURNED 2!  His birthday party was a great time.  I think I counted 12 kids running around in our backyard playing on the swingset, running through the sprinkler and jumping in and out of our little pool.  I think Preston had a great time but he was exhausted that night.  Chloe was tired as well from getting passed around, she slept all night until 7am!
Labor day weekend was a great time spent with just us as a family and an evening with a couple of friends on Sunday.  I definitely enjoyed my 4 day weekend and will probably enjoy my 3 day work week even more!
Have a great week!  God bless you!
