Haircuts and Super Heros

Preston has been enjoying getting his hair cut at home lately and does really well for the most part when we can do it outside.  Especially if we can catch him when they are already playing outside and he can watch Chloe play for a bit before he gets tired of sitting there. 
The kids love playing outside wherever they may be and would probably stay out there all day long if we let them!  Unfortunately it has been really hot the past couple of days and they cannot be outside in the middle parts of the day, even late into the evening it is quite warm.
Preston is still infatuated with Captain American, Spiderman and all the other members of the Super Hero Squad and Chloe just enjoys playing with Preston, so sometimes they play Super Heros together!  It is very cute to watch them play so well together - I love it!!

Preston likes sprinklers, unfortunately Chloe does not!  Although today I had on a different sprinkler to water the blackberries and Chloe was leaning over trying to drink out of it!  I wish I would have had my camera!

Preston has recently decided to stand to pee, and now he really likes to go outside!

Snakes, Elephants and Gorillas, oh my!

We went to the St. Louis Zoo at the end of May, which was probably the hottest day of the year at the time - close to 100 degrees!  The kids seemed to enjoy it despite the heat, but we didn't get to see the penguins b/c that was a very popular site that day! 

I can't remember what they were looking at, but it must have been awesome!

My babies are no more ....

They are now 2 and almost 4!!
Several weeks ago we got the kids pictures taken at Picture People and had a terrible experience, but somehow ended up with some good pictures even after Preston jumped on the photographers back and Chloe refused to stay in the area where pictures were to be taken.  The photographer really wasn't that great either - she kept trying to get the kids in poses - SERIOUSLY!  How many 2 year olds do you know that can stand still for more than 10 seconds so someone can take their picture in an uncomfortable position???  We won't ever go back to Picture People again....

Ok, so I am obviously way behind on updating pictures on here.  They are however all on the Picasa site.  Here are some below - I am not going to all that I have b/c there are a lot!

The last day of preschool for fall, Preston had a backwards clothes day - He loved it!  He even put his underwear on backwards!!

We went to a gymnastics birthday party and the kids absolutely loved it.  I think we might try to get them into some classes this fall that occur at the same time.

Preston and Chloe love blowing bubbles but Chloe still struggles a lot with having enough air to actually blow any!  Usually it is better to have a bubble machine.

Happy Mother's Day!!

We had a splendid day today!  Preston slept until 7:30, Chloe until 9 or 9:30!  We went to church and heard a great sermon about God's design for parents and their children.  Tonight we had our friends, Dave and Greta over for dinner for mother's day as well as Dave's birthday!  We had some scrumptious kabobs, corn on the cob and cauliflower, with some oreo pie for dessert.  The kids had a great time playing outside and then went to bed without any fight - they were exhausted!
For mother's day the kids and AJ got me a rose bush, some yummy chocolates and a beautiful card.  We had a great day together just hanging out.  I am so blessed to have such a great family!
We tried to get some pictures of me and the children today, but they were just being silly!

Chloe has transitioned to a big girl bed!  We took the side off her crib so now she can get in and out whenever she wants.  She has done amazing!  I can't believe how big she is getting and I can't believe she will be 2 in a month...it has gone way too fast!

 Chloe has been loving sunglasses lately and was being really silly at the table the other day with them on.  Then of course Preston wanted a picture taken!
