Christmas Eve with the Gegg's

Christmas Eve was spent. as is tradition, with the Gegg side of the family.  This year it was hosted at Butch and Joyce's.  The kids had a great time opening gifts and playing together!  Papa Butch played Santa Clause and handed out the presents, which Preston and Chloe thought was great!
Here are a few pictures

Christmas, just the 4 of us

Our Christmas morning was celebrated on the Saturday before Christmas day so we didn't have to drag all of the kid's presents to Ste. Genevieve.  Chloe got up at her typical time around 7, but Preston slept a little later until 8ish or so!  Luckily Chloe wasn't quite aware enough this year to remember when she got up that it was Christmas, so I was able to keep her in our room for a long time.
There were a couple of unwrapped gifts left by Santa that they discovered first thing and were excited about.  Then a note was discovered.  Our Elf, Oddie Joey, whom the kids had a lot of fun with this holiday season had gone back to the North Pole and left a note for the kids!  We have had several questions since he left, about when he will come back! :)

Preston and Chloe enjoyed unwrapping gifts and seeing all of their new toys.  Their joy is just awesome to see!  Oh to be a child again and experience this type of joy and happiness!  There are so many pictures, you will have to visit our Picasa page to see all of them.  Enjoy a child's excitement of Christmas day:

 I love Preston's face here
 Chloe is excited too!
 Chloe's computer!
She found a big present! I don't have a good picture of it, but it is a Disney Princess Castle

Chloe got her own cape and had to put it on immediately - and then Preston had to go get his as well!

Chloe's own Bible - although I am pretty sure this has ended up in Preston's room
She ate lots and lots of candy this morning...
Daddy loved putting together toys :)
Dancing Aerial - she didn't make it through the morning unfortunately
 Batman!
Princess Castle! Looks like Batman found his way there :)

We very much enjoyed our Christmas at home, but there was so much more in store once we got to Ste. Genevieve....that will come later :)
Have a fantastic Monday!!

Christmas Eve Jammies!

It has been a long standing tradition in my(Terra's) family, to get new PJs on Christmas Eve.  My grandma Shirley started this tradition when my mom and all 8 of her siblings were little and they have all carried on this tradition with all of us kids.  It is only right to continue this tradition, right? :)  So - AJ, Preston and Chloe all get new jammies from me on Christmas Eve (or at least our Christmas Eve) and I decided several years ago to extend this tradition to AJ's family!  Don't worry AJ buys me some too :)

Here we are getting our jammies at home.  Somehow I didn't get pictures of AJ getting his.

 Preston liked his Snowmen!

 Chloe loves her mittens!

Daddy was funny!  I did get some cute HOHO! pants and a "NAUGHTY" shirt!

The kids were super excited for Christmas this year and it was so fun to see their joy and anticipation on "Christmas Eve"

Short and Sweet, but here ya go...

I know I am very behind, AGAIN, but I am doing my best to catch up on pictures!  Here are some from late November and early December.  I have many, many from all of our Christmas events, so those will have to wait for a bit longer!
Here are just a few of the kids playing:

One day I walked into the living room and this is what I saw:

What is this world coming to....everyone was on some sort of electronic - well except me!

Ok, up next - Christmas...some time this weekend (I hope!!).
