32 weeks

Quick update:  Chloe tried banana for the first time tonight!  I think she liked it - the only thing we have found she doesn't like so far is cauliflower!  She is a good little eater.  And she finally figured out tonight how to get the little puffs in her mouth all by herself - YAY CHLOE!
She is getting around like crazy, but no crawling.  We think she is waiting for Grandma Jackie to get here tomorrow.  She will be here Friday through Wednesday, so she gets lots of time with the kiddos, especially while we are at work Monday and Tuesday!  I took off work Wednesday so I can take her to the airport and then I haven't decided if the kids are staying with me (most likely) or going to daycare the rest of the day so I can get some stuff done at home.  We'll see how I feel I guess!  Mom has also graciously accepted an offer to watch 4 kiddos while she is here!  On Saturday, AJ and I are going out with our friends and Grandma is going to watch their kids too.  She will have Preston (2 1/2 almost), Joshua (22 months), Chloe (7 months) and Connor (5 months)!   Good thing they are all really good kids, b/c she is going to have her hands full!
Have a wonderful weekend!  It is supposed to be in the high 50's here tomorrow and Saturday!!

Growing up...

I can't believe Chloe is 7 months old.  Time has passed way too quickly!  She still isn't crawling, but she gets herself around to get whatever it is she wants.  Sometimes it may take awhile but she'll get there.  And she loves to play with Preston, even if he decides what she wants to play with, she gets over it and usually laughs or smiles at him!  Preston really likes to play with Chloe too, but he definitely wants her to play with what he wants her to.
Chloe has gotten her first tooth!  It is barely through, but I am so glad it is through.  We had a rough couple of nights of going to bed due to pain in her gums.  I think another one is on its way though, so hopefully it comes through a little quicker than the first!
She has gained some new food to her list, including applesauce which she loves!  We've tried Gerber puffs a couple of times but she won't put them in her mouth, she will pick them up and just hang onto them.  For a long time, she wouldn't put a teething biscuit in her mouth either.  She liked them in her mouth to chew on, but would not hold it.  She finally figured it out and now she wants to help with a spoon when you are feeding her!
Preston is getting to be such a big boy.  He is very aware now when he needs to go potty, but doesn't always want to go.  I would say he is potty trained, except at night, only he doesn't WANT to go all the time.
He speaks in complete sentences most of the time and just amazes me at what he knows!  At daycare she does some learning activities and she told AJ the first day that she didn't think she taught him a single thing!  He is a little smarter than his age I think!
We got a little bit of snow this past week, enough for schools to be cancelled!  I of course worked.  Preston loved it outside and cried when I made him come in.  The kids next door were out and he played with them for a little bit and did not want them to go inside.  I need to find some different gloves for him b/c his hands were bright red and freezing when he came in.  Anyone know where to get little guy "plastic" type gloves?
AJ and I have been doing a work out video series called Insanity(which it definitely is!) for the past 3 weeks, but this past week we didn't do so well.  We both had a day where we didn't feel great.  We are going to keep it up though - it is a 60 day workout so hopefully we'll be looking good real soon!!

 Preston wanted a "cookie" too!

Hard to see, but Preston is out there with Shelby when it was getting dark and he was fighting coming inside for dinner.

He was very proud of his potato heads!

 Potato head teeth!

 Getting into things she shouldn't!

Have a fantastic rest of the weekend!

Hey Diddle Diddle...

It seems like forever since I've blogged...

New Years was fun - we had our friends Dave and Greta over and their son Josh.  We made dinner (turkey that AJ won at school - our first shot turned out great!) and then hung out and let the kids play and we played on the Wii.  I wanted to let Preston go outside and bang pots and pans, but the others thought it would wind the kids up again right before bed.  Oh well, next year!
AJ and the kids got to stay home the time between Christmas and New Years.  They had a blast, but boy was this week a little rough with everyone having to get up early again!  Preston and Chloe started at a new daycare on Monday for just a half day b/c AJ did not have to work until Tuesday.  They love it!  There is only one other little boy there right now, Luke, and she is looking for one more.  Preston loves playing with Luke and Miss Kelly says they play together pretty well for as close in age as they are.  Preston is the oldest - this is a first for daycares!  It is sad to say, but this is Preston's 3rd daycare and Chloe's 2nd already and I sure hope the last for both of them, unless we move back east.
Chloe is a rolling machine!  She is all over the place now.  You can start her sitting up and she plays for a long time and eventually is reaching for something a little too far away and falls over.  Then there is no stopping her!  She rolls and scoots herself around like nothing else.
She has definitely found her voice and once she gets going, if you don't interrupt her, she will just talk and yell - there has been a couple of "dada"s in there.  She is such a good baby though, she will just lay in her bed until you come check on her so I am not always sure how long she has been awake!  I got up this morning at 7:40 b/c Preston was making noise in his room and Chloe was just laying there wide awake playing!  AJ said at Miss Kelly's on Thursday, he went to put her in her car seat and Chloe started to cry a little and Kelly said "Oh thank goodness, I didn't think she ever cried" - that is a good thing!
Chloe is beginning to get a wider variety of foods to eat - banana yogurt, oatmeal, carrots, summer squash, spaghetti squash, and mashed potatoes.  We've also made sweet potatoes but she has to wait a couple of more days for those and then I'm going to make applesauce soon so she can start having that at lunch.  She loves to eat!!
Preston is doing amazing at potty training (until today!)!  He has been dry all day almost all week!  Thursday night Preston and I went to Walmart and he got to pick out a toy for being such a big boy!  He of course chose Buzz and Woody dolls, small ones that say their little catch phrases!  He has deemed Woody his favorite lately and has given Chloe the new little Buzz doll and does not like it when she doesn't have it!
Everything else is fairly normal around here.  Have a great Sunday and a fantastic week!

They are getting good at playing together!

Preston decided he didn't want to take a nap on New Year's Eve - he was a zombie at 5:00 already.  Got a second wind once Josh arrived!

They did this most of the night!
