Christmas!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year with Preston!  He loved every second of it and of course could not get enough of opening presents!  If he wasn't opening one for him, he wanted to help whomever was.  We enjoyed our family Christmas, on Christmas Eve morning before we went up to Ste. Genevieve to see AJ's family.  Christmas Eve was then spent at AJ's Aunt Cam's house where Santa came for one last visit before Christmas morning.  Preston got to thank him for bringing his bike!  We woke up Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa Gegg's to open present and then went to the fastest Catholic Mass I have ever been to!  That afternoon we went to Joey and Diane's for Christmas dinner and more presents!  The weekend was a lot of fun but very tiring - the kids were worn out!
AJ has been home with the kids this week and I am very jealous!  Next year I am definitely taking some time off work - I just had my normal weekend and then back to work...no fun!  The kids are enjoying sleeping in so far, AJ hopes it continues!
Everything else is going great.  Chloe is so fun to watch and she really enjoys sitting and playing on the floor.  Preston seems to forget how little she is now that she is able to do more - sometimes he gets a little too rough when he is "playing" with her or tickling her.  Good thing she is tough already!
Chloe has now tried carrots, yogurt, rice cereal, oatmeal, mashed potatoes and cauliflower.  She did not seem to enjoy the cauliflower at all!  Everything else seems ok, but I'm not sure she is a big fan of the "cold" of the yogurt.  She eats it but it doesn't go as well as everything else.
My babies are now 28 weeks old and 28 months old!  They are getting too big too fast...Enjoy the pics, there's lots!

6 month appt

Just a quick little update:
  • Weight: 15 lbs 1.8 oz (up from 13 lbs 12.8 oz at 4 months!)
  • Height:  25.5 inches (up from 24.5 inches at 4 months)
She is in the 41st percentile for height and 30something for weight - she is just a little squirt!  They say they aren't worried about the percentile, just as long as she is making steady progress and she is!
We are supposed to start working her towards 3 "meals" a day and not just at night like we have been doing.  So, she is going to get to try yogurt tomorrow and then next week we'll try another veggie!
Have a fantastic weekend (get all your shopping done!).  Love to all!

6 months old!

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe Chloe is 6 months old already!  She is so precious and just a bundle of joy!  She is now sitting up on her own for several minutes at a time and she rolls both directions all the time!!  We are enjoying every second with both her and Preston.  She watches him and the animals all the time.
Chloe has officially had "real" food!  She was so intently watching us eat and drink, that I decided it was time for her to try some carrots.  She absolutely loves them!  She has had them for dinner every night for a week now.  I can't remember how I did cereal with Preston once we started veggies so I'm not sure what we are going to do with Chloe.
She goes to her 6th month check up on Friday so I will probably talk to them about what to do.  I think she has to get shots, which I am not looking forward to, especially since I will have both kiddos with me.
Since the last post, we have put up our Christmas tree, gotten pics taken for our Christmas card, went to see Santa Clause and gotten pics taken of Chloe for her 6th month mark!  A lot of really good pictures have been taken lately, courtesy of Kailey and Picture People!
Preston is very excited about Christmas this year.  He loves looking at the lights.  He talks about what Santa will bring (presents in general) and about the stockings hanging from the mantle.  He says he wants a dump truck even though he has 2!  But he also says he wants a red bike - which he is getting!  I am also excited for Christmas this year - I can't wait to see Preston open presents this year.  He got so excited when Uncle Jeff was opening his birthday presents and they were just clothes!!
We just have a little bit of shopping left to do and then just wrapping everything!  Only 9 days!!
Have a fantastic week!

Ha! Preston's pants fell down in this picture!!  I was trying to pull them up...

Thanksgiving

The past two weeks have been very busy! (ok, I think it is 3 weeks!)  We went to Ste. Genevieve 3 weekends ago so AJ could go hunting - no luck.  We got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Gegg, Aunt Ali, Uncle DJ and Aunt Tori.  The kids and I also headed north Saturday morning to see cousin Stephanie while she was in town from Colorado!  Unfortunately I don't think I have any pictures from that weekend.  My camera is acting up so lately I just give up on trying to take any pics.
Two weekends ago, my mom - Grandma Jackie, came in town so we could use up some airline vouchers that were going to expire!  (long, frustrating story...)  Preston had a lot of fun hanging out and playing with Grandma, and I know Grandma had a lot of fun too, especially knowing she was going to get to see us again in a couple of days.  She was here Friday through Monday and we went to Florida Thursday through Monday (today) for Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving was a lot of fun in Florida.  Way more family down there than normal!  Aunt Marty and her family came down from StL, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Doug stayed instead of going out of town, Aunt Candy and Uncle Jim(sounds weird!) were there instead of CO this year, and of course Aunt Susie and Justin's family and then our family were all there!  It was awesome getting to see everyone.  Of course I don't have but a couple pics from the gathering.  We didn't really do too much while we were there since we really only had 3 full days but it was a good, somewhat relaxing time!  Chloe did great on the plane rides - this afternoon was the "worst" and she was just a little fussy b/c she was so tired.  She eventually fell asleep, as did Preston!
I wanted to put up Christmas stuff when we got back today, but AJ wasn't excited to get it down from the attic, so we are going to up it up tomorrow.  Preston is very excited about the Christmas lights this year and gets excited when he sees Christmas trees, so I think it will be a lot of fun to put up decorations this year!
Chloe is doing great!  She is sitting up for a couple seconds all on her own and yesterday she did a complete roll!  I love watching her learn new things and figure out what is going on with her environment around her!  She is such a happy baby.  I think we are very lucky with how good our kiddos are most of the time!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  Good luck with all your shopping for Christmas!
